Chameleon is proud to show off the Birmingham Repertory Theatre with a 360 Virtual Tour.
The Birmingham REP is located at Broad St, Birmingham B1 2EP and the 360 Virtual Tour will be used on the website www.birmingham-rep.co.uk with a bespoke menu system providing improved usability.

When the Good Morning Britain Team contacted us to film the weather live from Ice Skate Birmingham we pulled out all the stops.
The GMB team needed to produce a live broadcast which would begin at a very early 5am.
ICC’s excellent security staff helped the ITV satellite vans gain access to Birmingham’s Centenary Square for the early setup.
Laura Tobin was very professional and always had a smile on her face. On the night before the filming the presenter practiced skating backwards with Hayden. Ice Skate Birmingham provide a team of Ice Marshall’s to assist customers. Team member Hayden enjoyed helping Laura with her rear facing endeavours.
Enthusiastic skaters from Steph’s Skate School arrived early to provide Laura with some company on the ice. Needless to say the expert skaters added the perfect amount of flair during the GMB broadcasting.
During the hours of 6AM to 9AM Chameleon was on hand to provide 360 photography which ultimately captured Laura and the Good Morning Britain team working on the ice. The great thing about full frame 360 images is the way they capture an entire moment. Viewers can really enjoy the technology looking at absolutely everything.
Panoramic photography is a complex process which uses a D-SLR camera, a special lens and multiple exposures (HDR) for each view. Chameleon’s experienced photographer Adam Langeveld is a passionate veteran in virtual imagery and quickly produced the high-quality visuals ready for GMB’s use during the live broadcasts.
Chameleon produced a choice of 360 images for GMB who then uploaded their favourite to Facebook. The 360 photo can be enjoyed on Facebook desktop or via the mobile Facebook APP on tablets and phones.

The GMB live weather segments were broadcast at various points during the morning. Laura also presented the weather whilst riding the Big Wheel. Everything went extremely well.
A GMB cameraman provided a side show displaying his Hockey skills with an ice puck. The team from Steph’s Skate school were both surprised and impressed.

If you were not aware, from the 8th August 2016 Birmingham City Council, Solihull Metropolitan Council and West Midlands Police are introducing new Average Speed Enforcement (ASE) camera system to improve road safety in the areas of the West Midlands.
These new camera installations are to replace the old obsolete wet film safety cameras.
The introduction of the Average Speed Enforcement cameras known as ASE is designed to positively influence driver behaviour making the average journey speed reduce over the section and making driver understand speed. It is proven that drivers comply with the set limits on roads which has a positive effect creating a safer environment for everyone who uses the roads.
The ASE cameras in Birmingham & Solihull will detect vehicle number plates at the first camera and record the details of the start time. They then capture at the next camera the journey time over the set distance and calculate the average speed by measuring the time taken to travel between fixed points.
The Birmingham Average Speed Enforcement (ASE) cameras are located on the following roads. They are visible by highlighted signage informing drivers that they are entering an average speed controlled zone.
A38 Bristol Road between Priory Road and Speedwell Road (average speed limit 30mph)
A456 Hagley Road between Portland Road and Lordswood Road (average speed limit 30mph)
A4540 New John Street between Lucas Circus and Hospital Street (average speed limit 30mph)
A34 Newtown Row between New John Street West and Newbury Road (average speed limit 30mph)
A45 Coventry Road between Berkley Road and Rowland Road/Steyning Road (average speed limit 40mph)
B425 Lode Lane between Henley Crescent and Moat Lane (average speed limit 30mph)
B4114 Bradford Road / Chester Road in the vicinity of the junction (average speed limit 30mph)

This new system has been tested with amazing results in Scotland first installed on the A77 in Ayrshire between Bogend Toll and Ardwell Bay in 2005.

At times even careful safe drivers might be caught speeding. The old cameras will flash and this will give you an indication you may have a letter which will be a Notice Of Intended Prosecution through the post. When you receive this letter you should immediately complete and return it to the Police Central Ticket Office.
Low speed speeding offenders may be offered a place on a Speed Awareness Workshop, depending on eligibility and high speed speeding offenders will be sent a Court Summons. All other speeding and red light offenders, or those who decline a Speed Awareness Workshop will be sent a Conditional Offer of a Fixed Penalty.
If you receive a letter of Intended Prosecution and you were not driving at the time of the offence then you must identify the driver immediately.
